Why Share a Prayer Request?
The Bible invites us to “bear ye one another’s burdens” (Galatians 6:2) and to “pray one for another” (James 5:16). When you share a need, other believers can stand with you in faith. Prayer is one of VBCI’s core values – we value praying regularly – and the church’s Intercessory Ministry is dedicated to praying for the needs of others.
How to Request Prayer
- Ask for a prayer mate. Use the form on our Need a prayer mate? page to share your request and ask for someone to pray with you.
- Speak to a pastor. Visit a VBCI branch near you and ask to pray with a pastor or a member of the prayer team.
- Reach out online. Connect with the church through its social channels listed on our contact page.
What to Include
You do not need special words. Share what you are comfortable sharing: the situation, what you are asking God for, and whether you would like someone to follow up with you. If you are unsure how to begin, read our guide How to Write a Prayer Request: A Simple, Honest Guide.
Everything you share is received with care and respect. Tell us only what you are comfortable sharing, and let us know if a request should stay private.
