The Children’s Ministry of Victory Bible Church International – North America helps boys and girls get to know Jesus early, love God’s Word and feel at home in the church family. We see children as full members of the congregation, not as an afterthought.
What the Children’s Ministry Is About
Jesus said, “Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 19:14). The Children’s Ministry takes that invitation seriously. Its purpose is to teach the Bible in a way children can understand, to help them pray and worship, and to give them a safe place where they are known by name.
- Bible teaching at their level – simple lessons from Scripture, memory verses and stories that point to Jesus.
- Worship and prayer – songs, praise and short prayers that children can join in with confidence.
- Character and faith – honesty, kindness, obedience and courage taught as part of following Christ.
- Serving and belonging – opportunities for children to take part in church programmes and special occasions.
Partnering With Parents
Faith grows best when church and home work together. Parents and guardians remain the first teachers of their children, and the ministry aims to support them rather than replace them. If you want ideas for building faith at home, read our guide on raising children in the faith, which offers practical habits for family prayer, Bible reading and conversation.
How to Get Your Child Involved
Programmes, age groups and meeting times are arranged by each local congregation, so the best first step is to visit a VBCI branch near you. You can find addresses on our branches page. When you arrive, let an usher or pastor know that you have children with you and they will point you to the right place. If you are new to church altogether, our article on what to expect on your first visit may help.
Would you like to volunteer with children? Helpers, teachers and assistants are always welcome. Speak with the leadership of your local branch or reach out through our contact page.
