This page is dedicated to the Theme of the Month from the Presiding Bishop of Victory Bible Church International, Bishop Nii Apiakai Tackie-Yarboi. A monthly theme gives the whole church family a shared focus for prayer, study and faith.
About the Presiding Bishop
Bishop Tackie-Yarboi founded VBCI in 1985 and serves as its Presiding Bishop and as Chairman of the Executive and Apostolic Councils. He has authored several books, including The Believer’s Mind, Making The Most Of What You Have and Fulfilling Your Destiny. Read more on his profile page.
Why a Monthly Theme?
When a congregation meditates on the same truth over several weeks, that truth has time to take root. A theme becomes a reference point in sermons, prayer meetings and conversations. It helps believers across different branches – and different countries – stand together in faith for the same things.
How to Make the Most of the Theme
- Write it down. Put the theme and its key scripture somewhere you will see it every day.
- Memorise the verse. Repeat it in the morning and at night until it becomes part of you.
- Pray it. Turn the theme into personal prayers for yourself, your family and your church.
- Study around it. Read the surrounding chapter and related passages; our guide How to Study the Bible shows how.
- Share testimonies. Notice how God speaks to you through the theme and share what He does – see our testimonies page.
Using the Theme in Groups and Families
Home cells, fellowships and families can build their devotions around the monthly theme. A simple pattern works well: read the key scripture, ask what it teaches about God, discuss how to apply it, and close in prayer. Children can learn the verse too – a great habit encouraged in Raising Children in the Faith.

The current theme is announced in church services and shared on VBCI’s Facebook and YouTube channels. You can also ask at your local branch.
