Victory Sanctuary Choir

The Victory Sanctuary Choir leads the congregation in praise and worship through song. Music has always been close to the heart of Victory Bible Church International, and the choir helps every service open the way into God’s presence.

A Church Shaped by Worship

Music has deep roots in VBCI. Bishop Elijah Saforo, Regional Overseer of VBCI North America, helped set up the church’s Music Ministry in its early days and serves as Director of the Praise and Worship ministries in VBCI. His message centres on “experiencing His glory on earth through New Testament order of praise & worship”. The Victory Sanctuary Choir carries that vision into local services.

What the Choir Does

  • Leads congregational worship – helping everyone sing with understanding and joy.
  • Ministers special songs – presenting songs that prepare hearts for the preaching of the Word.
  • Supports special events – anniversaries, conventions, camp meetings and celebrations.
  • Grows musically and spiritually – through rehearsals, devotions and prayer together.

Why We Sing

Scripture invites believers to speak to one another “in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord” (Ephesians 5:19). Singing unites a congregation, teaches truth in memorable ways and expresses love to God. A choir is not a concert group; it is a team of worshippers serving the whole church.

Choir members are encouraged to live what they sing. Faithfulness at rehearsals, a humble attitude and a personal walk with God are as important as vocal skill.

Choirs also train new musicians and worship leaders. Singers learn harmony, timing and how to follow a worship leader, while growing in confidence to serve in front of the congregation.
