Jesus People NA is a ministry fellowship within Victory Bible Church International – North America. Its name recalls the church’s beginnings: when VBCI first gathered in Accra, Ghana in 1985, it was known as “Jesus People Outreach Church”.
A Name With a Story
The original name captured the passion of the early church – people who belonged to Jesus and who wanted to reach others with His love. Jesus People NA carries that same spirit today, bringing believers, many of them young people, together to grow in faith, worship with energy and live out the gospel in North America.
What Jesus People NA Is About
- Fellowship – genuine friendships built around Christ, where people can be honest and encouraged.
- Worship and the Word – praising God together and learning to apply Scripture to everyday life.
- Outreach – sharing Jesus with friends, classmates, co-workers and the wider community.
- Growth and leadership – helping believers discover their gifts and serve in the church.
Why Fellowship Matters
The early church “continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers” (Acts 2:42). Faith was never meant to be lived alone. Being part of a committed fellowship makes it easier to stay strong, ask questions and step out in service. VBCI lists Biblical Community among its core values for exactly this reason.
Whether you grew up in church or are only beginning to explore faith, you are welcome. There is room for questions, for learning and for discovering how God can use your story.
